My name is Lori Morris and I am an acrylic landscape painter creating original vibrant paintings inspired by the Westcoast of B.C. I have lived in Halfmoon Bay and been inspired by the beauty on the Sunshine Coast, for nearly 20 years.
It is here I have been parenting
two wonderfully talented boys and have been enjoying being the wife of my supportive husband. My education is in architecture and I have also designed many projects as a custom home designer.
Since I was a small child, I’ve had the passion to be an artist and creating has always been a part of who I am. I find refreshment and rejuvenation in nature, therefore I spend a lot of time in it, photographing the inspiration for my paintings while hiking, biking and kayaking on this wonderful coastline.
My hope is that my paintings will help others to enjoy and be drawn to the natural beauty that surrounds us. My intention is to cause us to be in wonder and awe, looking at the detail, the intricacy, and the creative design.
Studying and recreating the natural beauty around me points me to our creator and is a meaningful, satisfying work. It is my desire that my work may bring His joy, peace and refreshment to all who view it.
“The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world.” (Psalm 19 1:4)
